Author: texasiapups Surnames: Jones Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.lewis/1397/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am trying to track down an ancestor by the name of Naomi Elizabeth Jones; she is said to have been born October 25 1832. It is *possible* that she was Native American and her parents died in the Cholera epidemic in 1833. Records show no death date of either parent; no siblings; and, birth and marriage dates of parents are "abouts." Does anyone have any information on orphanages or Missionary Schools in the Lewis County area in the 1830's? Thank you for any assistance or suggestions you might have. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: candacegregory Surnames: GREGORY, REYNOLDS Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.lewis/1394.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This is kind of a long shot but since you are at your wits end, maybe you are up for a long shot. . . I have a Robert F. REYNOLDS (b Sept 1859 Franklin Co., MO). He married Fannie V. GREGORY (b Jul 1863 Lewis Co., MO and d before 1920 prob MO). They are on the 1900, 1910 and 1920 Jackson Co. MO census in the Kansas City area. I don't know where they were married but suspect Clark Co. or Lewis Co. MO. Fannie's father was Marshal G. GREGORY, a Methodist Minister. They could have been married by him. In the last of his life, he appears to have moved in with them in Kansas City area or near by. Marshal G. GREGORY spent most of his time in Clark CO., MO as a Minister. So, here is a REYNOLDS Clark Co. MO tie in the timeframe of yours. I don't have parents for Robert F. REYNOLDS but I would bet he had them. I just haven't looked. I was wondering if you had more info on your REYNOLDS? You never know, your folks could have traveled or moved along mine.
