There are three people named Elwood listed. Maria and Burl Bevill are not listed. Perhaps some of these folks don't have markers. Lt. Priebe did anything for attention. One wierd duck. Landed in MN after the war, drove bus full of kids around and made everyone miserable. Had an airplane but was afraid to fly so he taxied it all over the airport like a car. Everyone wondered about him. Left his mother Anna at home where she burned to death in the backyard when the tall grass caught fire. Lt. Priebe moved to Florida and lived in a cave by the ocean. Very Strange! The 1860 census has her in Dickerson Township, the date of birth I have for her is 1802, but we all know how dates can get turned around. However, there is two Crook's buried in Deer Ridge, George, the youngest son and a Clarence Crook, I can't seem to locate. Thanks very much for the info. My 3xgreat grandfather Jeremiah Crook Jr left Ky sometime in 1834 after the birth of a child, was in Ill in 1835 where one of the kids were born, then came to Lewis Co., south of Canton in 1836 when my grandmother was born, along with the rest of her siblings. My 2xgreat grandmother Catherine Elizabeth Crook Robinson and her younger brother George are buried in Deer Ridge. I know that Jeremiah Jr's mother Jane Williams Crook was in Lewis Co in 1848 where she is listed on a military pension. Thanks for your response.
