Hi, My husband inherited a clock that was purchased at the Northfield School sale. This was approximately at the time of the reorganization of the Miller school district in Lawrence county. We think the school might have been near the town of Phelps. Would anyone know what year that would be approximately--1950? Thanks, Ceil Tartar
Hello The Miller School the best I can remember the 8th grad graduation was held in the spring of 1951 as my husbands sister graduated with the school of fairplay and all of the area schools were at that graduation. . I also have a question. Do you know where Ephrim Tarter was burried. and when he died? Hi Hazel, Thanks for the information. This is information sent to me by Ross Cameron on June 10, 1999:----------- Fountain & Journal: 11 Sep 1879. Died the 6th of August, Mr. Ephraim Tarter, 3 miles east of Phelps. Ross Cameron wrote that he could find no tombstone inscription for him but suggested that Ephraim would probably be buried near his death place. Thanks again, Ross.
