Would anyone be able to tell me what newspaper would have been around for Pierce City in 1916? I need to find an obituary for my gg-grandfather, James Leftwich who died April 19, 1916. Can anyone tell me where to look? Dear Glenda, My gg-grandfather, John Otho Franklin Beasley, died in Peirce City in 1917, and there was an obit for him in the Peirce City Leader, and another one in the Monett Times. You might want to try both papers, too. - Heather On Wed, 7 May 2003, Glenda Mckenzie wrote: > Would anyone be able to tell me what newspaper would have been around for > Pierce City in 1916?
