I was at a reunion in Monett last week and found out from one of my older cousins that my parent's first child either died at birth or was a late term miscarriage. My parents never mentioned this at all so I had no idea. All these years I thought I had only brothers but I actually had (or almost had) an older sister. To sum it up, I was somewhat surprised. Anyway, my questions for the group are this: How would I go about looking for information for this? Were any records kept for still births? Miscarriages? I don't know how to attack this one so any help is appreciated. All I know is that this would have occurred between 1923 and 1928 in either Lawrence County, North Barry County or Greene County.
