I am looking for someone who might know the history of the Catholic church in Pierce City. Had the chance this past weekend to go to and old fashioned church picnic at the St. Marys Catholic Church in Pierce City. We went inside and looked around before we left and noticed some pictures of another church that was also in town at one time, St. Patricks I believe was the name. Anyway I was wondering why there were 2 Catholic churches in a town that small, or did one shut down and become St. Marys.
