Hi Pat, I would be interested to see how you do finding your father's adoption records. My Mom was adopted about the same time period (1913). When I called the state in Jefferson City, I was told that only the adoptee, adoptee parents or the birth mother could asked to see the records that are sealed. I have written to the state for mom's birth certificate and haven't received it yet. I was wondering, too, if the records are in Lawrence County or Jefferson City. I just returned from Lawrence County and didn't even think to ask. Missouri laws are very strict concerning adoption. Virginia
