    1. Re: [MOLAWREN-L] L Byron Stewart and Alice McCoy Family Bible

    3. Ross, The Stewarts had property South of Halltown, quite a lot of it and the "old home place" was south of Halltown in a location that I can find, but can't tell you the road numbers. The address out there was Bois D'arc, I don't know what the township would have been at the time. Mom says that many people at the time had young girls keep house for them and teen boys that helped with the farming. Therefore any strange name on a census was probably that. 1870 Green county census: I suspect that George Ingram was someone from Ezekiel's home N.Y. area that came to work for them. Naturally he could be a relative. Mom doesn't remember the family talking about anyone with the last name of Ingram. Mary Ray was in the household too, but was probably helping with the housework or could have been just a friend of Nancy's that was at the house when the census taker showed up. 1920 Lawrence County Census:They called my grandfather Barnie and my dad wanted to call my son (Byron) Barnie, but I didn't like that. Ha! Thanks for the census records. I am really new at finding genealogy information and have been floundering with the volume and complexity of records. Is there a "free" place to do census searches for both Missouri and Arkansas on the internet? Any tips?
