    3. Pat, Yes, the same Ezekial/Ezekiel Stewart. The suggestion is that it is possible that he was married before because of the George Ingram living in his household in 1870. There really isn't any evidence that he was married before but we can't rule it out. He was several years older than Nancy and could have been married before. In both the 1870 and 1880 censuses, Ezekiel's place of birth is listed as New York. In 1880 it also lists New York as his father's place of birth and his mother's place of birth. Without knowing a county, it would be very time consuming to try to find him in the 1850 or 1860 New York censuses because he might be living with his parents still, at least in 1850. Finding this family in the 1900 Census using the Missouri Soundex should be another priority for you. It will also tell how many children Nancy had had and how many were still living. You also might find an obituary in the Springfield newspapers or Lawrence County newspapers. Ross Cameron >>> [email protected] 04/10/03 11:41AM >>> Are we talking about Ezekial Stewart b Feb 1, 1830 d Dec. 17, 1903 in Halltown, Buried in Halltown, Missouri? Father of L.Byron Stewart? I'll, again, ask if Mom knows anyone who might be able to answer your questions. Byron's sister Ines Stewart Cantrell might mean the Cantrell's in the area know something. If you can find a family with both L. Byron and Ines then maybe you can identify something from there. Interesting if they came from NY. I have only started putting genealogy for this side of the family in the past couple of months. Really don't know what I'm doing. Multiple wives was very common in the families at that time and was in the McCoy family too. 3. Children of Ezekiel and Nancy Stewart: Byron and Alice McCoy-four children of which two died and adopted John A. Riley. Ines Stewart- married Charles Cantrell and had no children. I think I might have more, but gotta go right now. Pat Miller Dallas Ross Cameron wrote: >Pat, > >Yes, the same Ezekial/Ezekiel Stewart.
