Hi List, Judy has recently posted two articles to the Lawrence county web page that should be of interest to just about everyone on the list. They will be of particular interest if you are a descendant of Reverend Anthony Bewley and many in Lawrence county are descendants. His daughter, Dorthula Martilla, born June 4, 1835, spent almost all her live in Lawrence county. She was married first to David S. Roper and second to Hezekiah Hanson Davenport. From these two men she was the mother of eight children, seven of whom married and remained in Lawrence county so you can see the possibilities for numerous descendants.
