Wilma, Apparently the newspaper record identified the child as the son of John Pearson rather than the child's name as John Pearson. I don't know if this is new information for you or not. The last tombstone inscription for Block 2 is: Clark, Ella, 4 Oct 1900 age 17 yrs 11 mo 4 ds dau. of J. A. & S. J. Clark Calculating her birthdate from her age at death, she would have been born 31 Oct. 1882. The three burials before listed before her are Paul, Zimri, and Ella Utter. It is not possible to tell from the transcription in which lots these people are buried. From the map it appears that there are 87 lots in block 2. The transcriptions could be in lot order. If so, then it is likely that Ella Clark is buried in lot 87. But that is a presumption or guess. Block 2 is located on the east edge of the cemetery, east of East Avenue and between Central Avenue and South Avenue. Lot 87 is in the extreme southeast corner of the block. Once there it may be possible to tell if other people are buried around Ella Clark. Ross >>> [email protected] 06/09/03 01:34PM >>> Ross, The infant is indeed correct.
