Just wanted to add that today's newspaper, the Neosho (MO) Daily News, had an article in it about this website with these addresses: http://www.sos.state.mo.us and http://www.osca.state.mo.us . From the article: "The internet database contains a complete listing of all cases before 1851 and a partial listing of cases up to 1871. Work is continuing to expand the database." "A search produces a brief summary---often no longer than one sentence or phrase. And it directs searchers to the exact location where the actual court papers---containing the rest of the details---are kept at the Missouri State Archives in Jefferson City." I just looked briefly for couple of my family names (from Lawrence Co.)---McGEHEE and HELM---did not find any of my known kin there; I also suggest you try every spelling you can think of for your particular surname---for example I found a Daniel MEGEHEE. Hope this helps someone.
