How interesting! I wasn't paying much attention to the Brad Pitt thread--until I read the surname Hillhouse! My husband's 2G-grandfather was Robert S. Hillhouse, who migrated to Lawrence County from Giles, TN, ca 1853. Robert's brother, James D. Hillhouse, wrote the diary that is posted to the Lawrence County web site. Robert's oldest daughter, Martha Caroline Hillhouse (my husband's great-grandmother), married James Houston Gibson in January 1869. Another actor related to many of us is (Mary) Janice Rule (a 3rd cousin to me). She starred in several movies during the 50s-80s, and was once married to Ben Gazarra, another well known actor of that era and later. She and Ben had a daughter, Elizabeth, born in the 60s.
