If you read all the correspondence you will find I also say Steve has his hand full. Glad you became a member of the Society. The Society is a great organization and don't think by my correspondence I am taking issue with the society. Study the issue and the long range issues and you may understand it better. Like I say I have been a long time member and been researching more years than some have been around. I won't take the issue further. Probably one of the biggest helps on this listing is Ross and talk about a labor of love. Anyone that has been around long understand what a great help he is to a lot of people. I am in Germany and the time difference is 7 hours to where Lawrence County is so I write while you sleep and you write while I sleep. So last night I slept on this one and decided to provide a mellow response. By the way the netiquette remark does not get a <lol> but meerly a <g>. Take care and Happy Hunting. I shall probably be just the first among many who will let you know how grateful we are for your labor of love--with Jerry Johnson leading the way, of course. Maybe he will even print the 6 pages re. netiquette--maybe. Anyway, a HUGE thank you from this new member with the mixed up att address. Susie P.S. I sent in our membership dues to the Lawrence County Historical Society and ordered their CD of past newsletter issues. I must hate myself--I'm so sick of scanning the hard copy of Goodspeed's History of Lawrence County and the Lawrence County History CD, which arrived several days ago. Oh, those Davidsons, Gibsons, and Hillhouses. They go on and on, so many of them. P.P.S. Oh, I've already made another contact through the list--Elaine Orr, who sent me a thick packet of pages she copied for D, G, and H's in the cemetery transcription books that she owns. What a neat person! (As soon as you post my email about my husband's relationship to Brad Pitt's Hillhouses, I'm sure I'll have even more new friends <grin>. As I said, we pay for our good deeds.) -------------- Original message from "Steve Olson" <steveoleolson@gmail.com>: -------------- > Quote: > I have been a member for many years and have voiced (typed) my > feelings about some things here lately.
