Jay, This has happened at several cemeteries in Lawrence County over the past ten or more years. In the case of the Old South Bend Cemetery where my Patton ancestors and others are buried, some stones were broken into pieces. I don't remember all the cemeteries, but the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery had some stones turned over, too, a year or so ago, I think. Some of the cemetery vandals over the years have been caught by the authorities. Hopefully, they will catch these, too.
