    3. Hi again cousin Pat, Sorry, since you said Lawrence Co., I did not check the other counties. The Barry County references are: p. 35: Aged Tax-Payers in 1860-61. -- The tax-payers in Barry County in 1860-61 who were over fifty-five years of age [I'm offended by over 55 being called "aged". Ha!] at the commencement of the War of the Rebellion are named as follows: . . . P. H. Trower, . . .. p. 58: Modern Townships: . . . Flat Creek Township was established in March, 1844, within the following described boundaries: from the fith crossing of Flat Creek near P. Trower's house, to William McKenney's house, including it, thence to the Taney County line near the head of Big Creek, . . .. Interesting but probably not much help. I also found a reference in Bill Lander's Barry County Probate Lettes, 1835-1853, p. 12: pages 119-121 [original book]: John Fennety [dec'd], John O Burton, Adm. Bond: $100., 1 March 1847, John O Burton, Principal, Isaac Newton, Jeremiah Parish and Pleasant H. Trower, Bondsmen. . . .. Not much help either. Have you looked for Pleasant Trower's probate records in Barry Co.? Did he die there? When? His heirs should be named in his probate records.
