My WILSON ancestors migrated from McMinn County, TN to Stone / Barry County in MO in 1853. Several years ago I found a map that showed the route of the Trail of Tears from North Carolina to Oklahoma. It was not a direct route, but meandered quite a bit. I once read that the best place to cross the Mississippi River was at Cape Guiarido, MO. It passed through McMinn County and Barry County.
