Jay and Ross, Several years ago the Marionville IOOF cemetery was vandelized and the pioneer part was almost completely distroyed. That was the part near the railroad tracks. Our big McNatt stone in Maple Park is on the part facing Elliott and is not under any trees. Several other large family stones front on Elliott. I will check with the family to see if they are okay. In the case of the Old South Bend Cemetery where my Patton ancestors and others are buried, some stones were broken into pieces. I don't remember all the cemeteries, but the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery had some stones turned over, too, a year or so ago, I think. Some of the cemetery vandals over the years have been caught by the authorities. Hopefully, they will catch these, too. I guess all of you know by now that those poor mistreated children are striking back, but you don't dare give them the attention on there back side that they needed when they were much younger. Thanks to our do-gooder (that probably never had a child)laws passed for the protection of the little monsters the kid yells and the parents are tossed in court. Teacher's, fired and if that does not work the little person yells sexual molestation, then the parent has to try and prove he or she is innocent, but by that time the reputation is gone, the kid is put in another home for it to happen all over again. Don't start in on me, I know there are real mistreated and molestation out there, there is a way to take care of those. When most of us were growing up we got our backside spanked and the fear of God would strike us down to do damage in a Cemetery, or any place else, most of the ones that do the damage most likely does not even believe in God. And I might add, for the child molester hang him or her until they rot. As for children seeing this, that would be up to the parent, not the State. Bet there would be a lot less molesters. Our Laws now protect the guilty.
