I thought I'd share with you folks the fact that I drove by Maple Park Cemetery yesterday and I noticed that a tombstone had fallen over. With the ice storm we had in January and all of the really big branches that had come off of the trees, it was no surprise. However, when I drove through the cemetery, I noticed that there were a dozen stones, and I mean big ones, that had the stones knocked off of the bases. These were stones that I wouldn't be able to lift, much less put back. Most weren't near any trees, so it was obviously some snot-nose and his buddies that came around and kicked them over. I called the number that was in the phone book for the cemetery and left a message for the caretaker, but it's a shame. All but one were in the section that was directly facing Elliott Street, so they were pretty brazen. Luckily, I saw no broken stones. jay ____________________________________________________________________________________ No need to miss a message. Get email on-the-go with Yahoo! Mail for Mobile.
