As a child advocate in Ottawa county ok I agree with you. to a point. Working in court system and advocating for kids. parents are more worried about their casinos ,drinks and friends instead of parenting (in ottawa county,ok) When children are removed from the home (I see them then) and I work my tailto ffind what is going on and find out what is in childs best interest. Then court and family services say "they need to be back with parents" they love them and it is em9otional to thake them away. (The damage is already done) then within a year same kids are back in system. you are right they do need spanked most of time. But parents need to slow down and be parents first and and then participate in whatever activities later. Children are our future and it looks bleak right now. I got tired f complaining and decided to do sometthing and I became a child advocate, I also got educated in laws in various states governing kids. I was a foster parent in the State of California, I was the one that went to the hospital to pick up the new born that just got off drugs after birth. I would keep the child until a State worker picked The child up. Yes the parents need to wake up, That child Will grow up in the system, I could only do so much too. I adopted two girls, and raised them with a hard but loving hand, they are both very dear to me and I love them very much. One turned into a drug user the other a wonderful mother. Who knows, the were raised with the same love . Please don't think I don't know about kids. I raised two and have seven (7) grandkids. But, we don't really know who knocked over the tombstones. Everyone assumes that it was kids. Kids do stupid things, but drunk adults do too. Let's wait to see what actually happened. Pat Miller
