Good Morning! Let me preface with an understatement...I know 'zip' about the town of Mt. Vernon as it stands today. In reading an old post on paper I re-discovered that the George HALEY family once owned and operated "one of the finest hotels in the region." It was in Mt. Vernon, MO. It was apparently on the west side of the Square facing the west side of the courthouse. Can anyone identify for me what might be in it's location today? Thanks as always! Deb Rowe
