    1. [MOLAWREN] Neece sign in Miller, MO
    2. Gina and all, I don't know if it was Ellis Neece's family. It may have been his brother's family. My wife's father was Allen W. Neece. He was a descendant of Hardy Holman Neece (d. 7-14-1895 in Lawrence Co.) and when we were in Miller he took that sign to be vindication of his childhood memories while growing up in Colorado. He said his father Curtis Eugene Neece (b. Miller or Mt. Vernon, MO 4- 15-1877) told him that his grandfather, who would have been William B. Neece (d. Lawrence Co., MO 5-17-1917) , was a furniture dealer and horse trader in Miller, MO. Historically, furniture and casketmaking went hand in hand in many communities. So when we saw that sign, it seemed right in line with the family history he had been told.
