Hi Everyone I am surprised not to find a single mention of my ancestors who were residents of Lawrence County for at least three generations. So I guess it is up to me to see that they are listed or I can't complain LOL. EDWARD WORMINGTON; (son of Samuel and Mary Denbigh Wormingto) b.June 14,1770 in Norfolk VA d. Dec 12,1840 near Pierce City, Lawrence Co MO. and his wife NANCY ANN HASSELL (daughter of John and Ann Jennett Hassell) b. Jan 13, 1775 in Tyrell Co North Carolina. d. Tues. Oct. 13, 1857 9P.M. in Lawrence Co Mo.) Moved to the Barry County, Lawrence Couinty area some time in the 1830's They lived in Barry County for a time but both died in Lawrence County. I believe that they were always in the same place, but the county lines changed They are buried in a private plot in Lawrence County Mo. Probably sooner but by 1835 ASA had his family in the Lawrence Co, Barry Co area of Missouri and ended up in Barry Co Mo when the county's decided on the final boundries. Nov. 1, 1872 Lawrence Co Mo) md Gabriel Boucher Jr March 20, 1851 in Lawrence Co MO. Sally and Fanny Ferguson were the daughters of James Ferguson Jr and wife Mary (Polly) Niel Jonathon Hawley Wormington and Sarah Ann Ferguson raised their family on a farm North of Pierce City, Lawrence Co Mo. There is a big mix up on the birthdates of most of Asa Hassell Wormingtons children I got info from a family bible 1st then all the gravestones didn't match. Then other descendents have given completely different dates. Jonathon Hawley Wormington's data is definately correct. After much research this is what I have.
