Jerry, I am weeding out old messages and just about decided not to comment on your BRASHEARS, but decided that perhaps I should. I am not a BRASHEARS researcher, but a brother to my 3rd gr grandmother (Jane MASON JEFFERY), Daniel MASON, while stationed at South West Point in Roane County, TN in the latter part of the 1700's, married a Mary "Polly" BRASHEARS. His brother, Nathaniel MASON married her sister, Phoebe. Although that was in Roane County, TN, after Daniel's death, his second wife, Martha "Patsy" HICKS MASON moved with the younger children of Daniel's to Greene County, MO (close to your BRASEAR ancestors). Who knows what BRASHEARS may also have made the move to that locale when she did?
