I actually know very little on my Mills line. My gr=gr grandmother was Margaret Adeline Mills who married Wilburn Hunter Waid Jan 31, 1849 in Lincoln co Tn. Her father was James Mills mother unknown. James will was probated in 1847 in Lincoln Co Tn and there are several entryies in Marsh's Wills & Inventories of Lincoln Co Tn. He was Married to Elenor Wilds Jan 1842 in Lincoln Co and she survived him. The children all appear to be by a previous wife. His daughters were Sarfah who married 1840 Peter Cunningham' Eliza who married 1841 John Ashby, Nancy who married Joshua Stroud 1839, Elizabeth who married Stephen Wiles 1849 and a son James who married 1852 Sarah Waid/Wade. In earlier entrys in the Will and Inventories he was guardian to some Marsh children whose guardian after his death was a member of Rees family. In 1820 Lincoln Co Tn there was an Ellis Mills, James, John Mills and Nancy Mills.. In 1830 there was a Ellis, WEstley and James Mills. In 1840 there is only Westley and James in Lincoln Co. I see in 1830 that the Neece and MCnatt family's are listed on the same census page. I would appreciate any information on the Mills family . I am printing your query. I will keep you group in mind.
