I have put more energy and time into finding things concerning my surname of SHIPMAN. However, I am now ready to settle down and try to dig more into this mystery of the family of my maternal grandparents. OTIS BENJAMIN HOWARD, was born in Wheaton, MO on March 26, 1879; died Feb. 7, 1950. He used to write poetry and articles for a newspaper in Granby, MO/Newton County. He met and married my grandmother CORILLIA ANN ROSS HOWARD, who was born April 23, 1889 and died Feb 1, 1970 in LAWRENCE COUNTY. They lived in such places as Cassville and Exeter also. Corillia's mother was SUSAN AUSIDINE SHEWMAKE and her father was JERRY LEWIS ROSS. Any connections to any of these people will be greatly appreciated and shared!
