Dale, Jean, Paul and other contributors, Thank you all for "taking me back home" for a few moments. Wonderful stories, and history of real life in Lawrence County. I can almost imagine how good the Carnation "soda pop" flavors were. My kids and grandkids are amused when I use the term, seems everyone uses "soft drink" or a brand name now. My parents (Paul and Evelyn HOOK DEPRESTE) moved away when I was just a little girl, in 1955 I think it was. First to the Texas panhandle, then on to California. Good to see some descendants names from early settlers, too, and know that some of those family lines are still in the area. Vicki Peterson
