Among the photographs in the Johnson collection held by Alan Colley is a tintype inscribed: N. J. Lucky, 18yrs, 4mos, 11das; 3 Jan 1874. There was the following family in Turnback Township 1870: #67 Lucky, Mahala; 33, female, TN , Joseph; 15, Tex , Marion; 10, Tex , Elizabeth; 9, Tex , Dora J.; 6, Tex The photo is probably Joseph, who would have turned 16 in Aug 1870 if I've interpreted the dates on the photo correctly. Does anyone have information about this family and what the relationship may have been to the family of Oliver Perry Johnson of Ozark Township, or the family of J. P. Colley and Mattie Anna Johnson Colley of Buck Prairie Township? Judy
I have Colleys in my lineage in Lawrence Co., MO in the mid to late 1800's but not sure about a J P Colley, although I'm sure they were probably all related somehow....
