In the photo are children from families: Rigg, Hawkins, Graham, BLoom, Morton, Turner, Weiherer, Prosser, Wilson, Vance, Barrett, Whitwell, Smith, Dickey, Snell, and Fortner. 2/28/01 - Mill Creek pie supper, l950's. It's a photo of a Tom Thumb wedding performed at a pie supper at the Mill Creek School. No other information, about l8 young and middle years kids in the photo in front of the school. 3/2/01 - Caldwell's Cafe, Lebanon, l950-52 era. Roy Schockley, manager, is standing in the photo, also Charles Scheunemeyer (little boy). Located between Morgan and Conway, Famililes: Sibley, Porter, Clarence Caffey, Doty, Glenn, Davis, Officer, Larimore, Smith, Palmer, Berzille, Long, Martin, Dennis, Peters, Mapper. Teacher was Ruth Martin. 2/19/01 - Election Day, l9l6, at Nebo Precinct. It's in front of the Nebo Store and Post Office, about 25 men sitting and standing in front of the store,no names. The 2/18 edition has the following in the looking back section, 50 years ago, 1951...A well known Phillipsbur resident, Benjamin Franklin McFarland, 87 died today. He had conducted a general store in Phillipsburg for many years and for some time served the county as manager of the poor farm. He leaves a son, FB McFarland; four sisters, Cora McMahan, Nancy Caffey, Julia Thomas, Lula McFarland, and a brother Charles McFarland of Phillipsburg. NOTE: Is anyone researching this McFarland family? His parents were Benjamin F. and Nancy Jane McMenus McFarland.
