My ancestors, the Zephaniah Barnes family were in and out of Laclede and Pulaski counties from about 1850-1870. I have not been able to find any siblings or parents for Zephaniah, though I have been told that Zedekiah Barnes of Texas County was a brother to my GGGrandfather, Zephaniah. I did find another Barnes family in the census as follows: 1850-Laclede County 130-130 Barnes, Sarah 52 SC Hezekiah 18 TN Elizabeth 17 TN Jasper 16 TN Sterling 14 TN My Zephaniah is from TN-He has a son named HEZEKIAH. I have found Sterling in Rockwall Texas with similar family names, such as Wiley Turner Barnes. I cannot seem to connect anything, with all these "clues". Does anyone out there know who this Sarah Barnes family is, or any of the other Barnes in the census? Your assistance would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanking you in advance.
