    3. Hi Carol... So glad when items find the right place. As to the Nurse name...are only two in the book I have of obits, covering 1900-1929: July 11, 1902 CHARLES NURSE age 65 years whose home was 7 miles east of Lebanon died on Wednesday Morning July 9 of dropsy. The funeral was conducted at the family home and interment was in the city cemetery. Oct 1922: MRS CHARLES NURSE passed away Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Siverly at Morning Sun, Iowa. The body accompanied by Mrs. Siverly and a son, Joseph Nurse arrived here yesterday afternoon. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Madison Avenue M. E. Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. D. E. Fields. Burial will be in the City Cemetery by the side of the husband, who died about twenty years ago. Mrs. Nurse was born at Shepton, Somersteshire, England, December 22, 1841. She was married there March 18, 1865 to Charles Nurse. They came to America soon afterward and located in Pennsylvania. Several years later they came to Laclede county and settled on a farm near Drynob. Mr. Nurse passed away twenty years ago. Mrs. Nurse continued to live on the farm for some time, but of late has spent her time in the homes of her children. She is remembered by the people of her old neighborhood as a devoted Christian and a kindly, compassionate mother, neighbor and friend. Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Andrew Shadel, and son, Joseph Nurse of Drynob; a daughter, Mrs. J. M. Fry of West Plains, and a daughter Mrs. William Siverly of Morning Sun, Iowa, and an adopted son, Fred Nurse of Mountain Lake, Minn. Fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. A brother, Fred Whitmarsh, of Brazil Indiana, also survives. The church socities and society club of West Plains of which Mrs. Fry is a member, sent beautiful flowers..... ^--^ ..... As always, hoping it might help!
