    3. HI... Here is what I find: 1900-1929: William Storey, Pg 75 Mrs. William STORY....(no E..?) Pg 12, 13 WILLIAM STORY: On Tuesday, Feb 16, 1904, Mrs. William Story died at her home, six miles north of Lebanon, aged 67 years and a few months. Two weeks before, lacking one day, many friends gathered at her home for a day of merry making and social enjoyment, never thinking what a sadness two short weeks could bring. That day all was well and happy. A week later she contracted pneumonia, grew rapidly worse and in six days had gone through the porteis (porteis/?) from which one never returns. Her going was sad but joyful, because she was a Christian. Twenty six years ago she was converted and united with the Liberty Christian church in Laclede Co. Her life was simple and filled with goodness. It is the example of such lives that makes the thorny way endurable. By it we are taught the possibility of living a true Christian. Loving hands did all that humanity could do to keep her, but God needed another jewel in heaven.. Her work was done, and done nobly. To the husband, two sons, Relius and Elbert, the latter's wife, the __________and other relatives and friends we say, "Mourn not, she is in Paradise." Could we wish her back to earthly sorrows, when it is God's desire to have her with him? But let us strive to meet her on the great Judgment day. Interment in the Holman graveyard. Pallbearers: W. T. Goss, Everett Goss, Gene Millsap, D. Je_____ Atkins, Walter ___er___ld, and Andy Holman. (guess parts of the obit could not be read)......this is really a lovely obit!.... Then this short one: On Wednesday Feby. 17, at the family residence on Bear Creek, Mrs. William Story, aged 72. The remains were interred yesterday afternoon at the Holmon graveyard near Sleeper (1904) Are these the same Mrs. Story's....?...different ages?..but same burial...must be the same! WILLIAM STORY DEAD: Born in Ireland in 1844 and died January 18, 1916..... By Phillipsburg Correspondent. William Storey was born in Ireland 1844 and died January 18, 1916 age 71 years. Mr. Storey came to America at the age of 15 years. He spent four years in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, after which he came to Missouri where he has resided ever since. 44 years ago he was married to MISS FRANCES TUCKER, who survives him. To this union were born six children, one boy and five girls, one daughter dying in infancy and another, Mrs. Nora Johnson died a few years ago. All the remaining children were present at the funeral. R. S. Storey of Black Oak, Ark., Mrs. Maggie Earls and Mrs. Cora Simpson of St. Louis and Mrs. Ella McFarland of Phillipsburg. He had no other relatives in America. Mr. Storey was a very successful farmer and stockman. He lived on his farm near Phillipsburg until a short time ago when he moved to town. He was an exceptionally strong man always enjoying good health until a few years ago when his health began to fail. He gradually grew worse and a few weeks ago he and Mrs. Storey started to Hot Springs in the hope of benefiting his health and while visiting his son enroute, who lives at Black Oak, Ark, the end came. The remains were brought to Phillipsburg Friday morning where the funeral was held Friday afternoon in the Presbyterian church of which he was a member, conducted by Re. O. B. Lane. In the passing away of Mr. Storey, Laclede County loses a good citizen. He enjoyed the firm friendship and respect of all who knew him. He was upright character, agreeable in manner, very sympatric and a kind husband and father. The entire community sympathizes with the bereaved ones in the passing away of such a man. Don't seem to be yours..but interesting! NANCY .... ^--^ .....
