I only have a little time...have to work today... this obit: YOUTH IS KILLED INSTANTLY WHEN HE GRASPS WIRE: Raymond Cunningham, 19, of Phillipsburg, met death Saturday At Crocker (1929): Raymond Cunningham, 19 year old Phillipsburg youth, met instant death last Saturday afternoon when he came in contact with a live wire while at work with a wire gang at Crocker. he was employed in post setting by the Management and Engineering Corporation, which is engaged in running a high tension line from Marshfield to Crocker. The youth had been employed only two weeks,having begun work after his graduation from the Conway high school. His brother, Claude Cunningham, was superintendent of the crew and had warned the men engaged in the work to be careful, on account of a live wire. The body was shipped to Phillipsburg and funeral services were held Monday morning in the M. E. Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. M. Kerr. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The choir was composed of the members of the senior class of the Conway high school and several friends of his own age in Phillipsburg. Raymond Warren Cunningham was the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Cunningham. His father is a prominent farmer living in the Phillipsburg community. He was born Aug 31, 1909 in Greene County. He united with the M. E. church at the age of 14 years and was a member of the Epworth League and the M. E. Sunday school. He also was a member of the M. W. A. lodge.
