UNPOSTED E-Mails: I know some of you, especially the Volunteer Team, have sent emails that never posted to the list during the past few months. Postings are filtered for various reasons and size is one of them. Please try to keep your emails to a desireble post size, under 6 printable pages and you should have no problems. Contact me and I will help you figure post size. An unposted email gets auto deleted within 7 days, so any unposted emails you posted before Feb. 17, feel free to repost them now. I will be monitoring this area regularly and will contact all senders before the auto delete happens. MAILING & POSTING INSTRUCTIONS: 1. TO POST A MESSAGE TO THE MAILING LIST, send it to [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) . It will then be sent on to everyone in both mail and digest mode. You don't need to send it explicitly to both. When replying to a posting, you may want to change the Subject line for better responses. Be courteous, 1 page emails are more pleasant for most members to view, download, and print. DO REMEMBER when replying to a digest email, highlight the text you'd like to forward or delete what you do not need to avoid reposting the entire digest (of many previous emails) which can make the post too large. 2. HOW TO SUBSCRIBE. Whatever you just prevoiusly did worked, or you'd not be getting this message. But for future reference (for instance, if your subscription is cancelled for whatever reason and you want to resubscribe), just send the command "subscribe" (without the quotes) to [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) . 3. HOW TO CHANGE TO DIGEST MODE (several postings are combined and sent to you together as a single large message every 12 hours or every approx. 32,000 bytes). There are two steps. First, send the command "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) to [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) to discontinue mail mode. Second, send the command "subscribe" (without the quotes) to [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) to start receiving digests. 4. HOW TO CHANGE TO NOMAIL MODE. There is no formal NOMAIL mode. All you have to do is follow the directions above and unsubscribe when you want the messages to stop, and then when you want them to start again, simply subscribe again.
