Hello all, thought this would be useful so I'm forwarding this post from a MOSTEGEN lister with permission, her info is below: Among the belongings of my uncle, Joseph Leon Vorst, was a small album containing funeral cards and a few obituaries. I suspect that the album may have been kept by Father Van or his housekeeper, Barbara Kayser. Someone added her info at the end of the book. The cards are glued in the album and I do not want to remove them. Most of the cards are written in English, many in German, two in French. The German ones are a problem for me to read, especially those in the old German type. I have finally typed the list and am attaching it. Some of the cards have a picture of the deceased on them which I have indicated with an asterisk. Some have more than one card. Many have more info than I have entered on the list - I only put the years. Not all are from Ste. Genevieve, but most seem to have a connection. If anyone is interested in any of the cards I would be happy to make a Xerox copy to mail to you. Please send me the names of those that interest you along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
