It has been years and more years since I made the same kind of trip's, from Colorado. The Hillsboro College outside Hillsboro has a wonderful collection of county records that were put there rather than destroy, shred or burn them for lack of space. I found information and books there that are no where else. Also I found in later years that the earlier Probate Records are there as well, at least the Probate Index. It has been too long since I made my trips and I know things have changed since then, but don't forget the Libraries at DeSoto and High Ridge, they both have good collections. Good Luck in your "digging in the Root Cellar." Charlotte Maness
