Hello. I am very excited. I am going to be visiting the area in 2 weeks. I am coming from Arizona. It has been about 18 years since I got to spend time there. This is my first trip back since I got into Genealogy. I have been doing all of my research via internet and snail mail. I would like to see records at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery and St Rose Of Lima Church. Does anyone have a number for either to see if I need an appointment. My other question is if anyone has ideas for where records are there? I would love to look at old papers but also I heard they moved most of the collection to one central library? Any suggestions from everyone would be aqppreciated. Oh by the way I am researching Wagner and Dickenson. Thanks in advance!
Best Wishes to you on your fact finding trip. I too am planning a trip to Jeff Co. coming next week. I will be hitting the Jefferson College near Hillsboro and also the DeSoto library. Please print these replys because you will want to hit all these places and talk to these people. LaDonna has listed who you need to see and I can't express enough that you should talk to Loretta at Jefferson College....she is SO helpful and knowledgeable. I met Betty at the DeSoto library earlier this year and am looking forward to my return trip. Again....good luck.
