    3. Hi Lisa (and list), Your email came in just as I was typing one to you, but I've scrapped that one. You've given me a lot to look at with regards to all the Andrew Jackson Huskeys. As I (sort of) mentioned, I am trying to find out where the Metford name fits in to the Huskeys. I research the Metford family name and have been doing so since 1978 (I think). I was off the internet for six years (being in Africa has its downsides) and now that I am back on the internet (I'm still in S. Africa, but was born in Detroit -- long story) I am pleased with all the new changes. And more people. Already in just a few days with Kay and now you, inroads have been made. Anyway, since Metford is such a rare name, and I collect them all, I have been trying to piece the puzzle together of the Metfords as they daughtered out, and now I'm back trying to trace the Huskeys, or at least Metford where it came in. Incidentally, Metford comes from Somerset, England. I have some records back in the early 1600's, but I have a direct line from 1658. With the Huskeys from the information that you and Kay have given me, plus the inscriptions from cemetery stones, and some death records I sent away for some years back, this is what I have (I have put Metford in CAPS): two HUSKEY brothers | 1.1 DeLaFayette Ramsey Huskey & Maria J. Jones | | 1.1.1 Andrew Jackson Huskey & Mary C. Wiley | | | 1.1.1.1 Eli Huskey Sr. (1879-1965) | | | | 1.1.1.1.1 Eli Huskey Jr. & Bernetta Gideon | | | | 1.1.1.1.1.1 Linda June Huskey (1946-1960) | | | 1.1.1.2 Andrew Jackson Huskey (b1877) & Anna E. Hamrick | 1.2 William Jackson Huskey | | 1.2.1 James Huskey & Nancy Caroline Williams | | | 1.2.1.1a Andrew Jackson Huskey* (1872-1952) & Florence A. Wideman | | | | 1.2.1.1a.1 Standly Edward Huskey (1892-1943) | | | | 1.2.1.1a.2 Clyde Charles Huskey (1896-1972) | | | | 1.2.1.1a.3 Hughey Raymond Huskey (1900-1963) & Golden Schrum | | | | | 1.2.1.1a.3.1 Richard METFORD Huskey (1920-1977) | | | 1.2.1.1b Andrew Jackson Huskey* (1872-1952) & Susan Emmaline Lanham | | | 1.2.1.2 Millard Fillmore Huskey plus the other HUSKEY line (which I've time-lined up): | | 1.3 Alexander Huskey & Sarah Partney | | | 1.3.1 Arthur Louis Huskey (b1871) & Laura B.F. Pierce (b1870) | | | | 1.3.1.1a Raymond Edward Huskey* (b 1891) & Lizzie Blake (dc1924) | | | | | 1.3.1.1a.1 Edward Huskey (bc1914) | | | | | 1.3.1.1a.2 Margarita Huskey (bc1918) | | | | | 1.3.1.1a.3 Charles Huskey (bc1921) | | | | | 1.3.1.1a.4 Eran Huskey (bc1924) | | | | 1.3.1.1b Raymond Edward Huskey* (b1891) & Pauline Clerc | | | | 1.3.1.2 Morris Huskey (b1892) | | | | 1.3.1.3 Eloisa Huskey (b1893) | | | | 1.3.1.4 METFORD Huskey (1896-1964) & Miss Roderick | | | | | 1.3.1.4.1 Joseph METFORD Huskey (1919-1991) KY | | | | 1.3.1.5 Ione Huskey (b1897) You said that Arthur Louis Huskey was not a brother to the others. That's fine. But how can the insertion of the METFORD name be accounted for in the Huskey family. It doesn't seem to show up in other families? I agree with you in the practice of not tracing after 1900. So many people!!!! It would indeed be a nightmare. Thus I am only looking back in time and there is a puzzle here. What do you think? Michel
