Dave, Thanks for the clarification on the "Catholic Cemetery" reference. The Xavier Arnold listing is the one that I am interested in. I knew that he is buried in St. Joseph's in Kimmswick along with his second wife, Magdalena. I have a picture of the tombstone. The "Catholic Cemetery" listing must be for his first wife, Maria Heimbach, as September 1, 1884 is her death date. I had found a burial record for her in the Immaculate Conception Church records under her name as Maria Arnold. In the Jefferson County death records I found her listed not as Maria but as Xavier Arnold, farmer's wife, buried at Catholic Church Cemetery. Since I have had others search for her tombstone at Immaculate Conception Cemetery to no avail I was very hopeful another "Catholic Cemetery" might exist. Now my guess is that she never had a tombstone or if she did it has been destroyed over the years. Somewhere I heard that Immaculate Conception paved over a section in the 1950's for a parking lot. Do you know if this is true? If so what did they do with the tombstones? In the Immaculate Conception Church records her father, John Heimbach's burial in 1877 is listed but his tombstone cannot be found. Xavier Arnold's parents, George Arnold (1879) and Magdalena Lang Arnold's (1885) death records are also among the burials listed in the Immaculate Conception records but no tombsones have been found. I would love to know what happedned to them. Rita
