Rita, I haven't heard anything about Immaculate Conception paving over part of the cemetery. You might try calling the church to ask if their records show him/her buried there. Not all graves had monuments placed on them. Also the "Catholic Cemetery" could be St. Joseph at Kimmswick/Imperial. You would have to see the context of the newspaper article.
