Paul, Nephew, DeGonia William Ernest Nephew married Mary Lucille DeGonia in 1877 Their children were: Cloves Agnes Ella (my grandmother) Tresia Anna Arton b 1886 d 1912 Frank John Clara James Thomas Bertha Anna married Fred Paul and they lived in Herky. They had one son Howard Paul who was born 1910. Anna committed suicide and is buried at Gamel Cemetery. Anna was at Fink Funeral Home, which I don't know if it's still around or not. In the Jefferson County Record, Hillsboro, Mo. February 22, 1912, it read: "Mrs. Fred Paul of Herculaneum committed suicide last week. Her remains were bro't to Festus and laid to rest in the Gamel Cemetery. It is said family troubles was the cause. Her mother committed suicide a few years ago". My grandmother and father had told me that a Mecey/Missey/Massey had raised the boy, Howard after his mother died. I believe Fred remarried shortly after Anna's death. I had gotten an email from someone before about the family that raised Howard, but had a computer crash several times and lost the information. Also in the Jefferson County Record, Hillsboro, Mo. April 13, 1911, part 7, it said: Seckman Jos. Yeager and family spent last Sunday at Fred Paul's, and helped celebrate the communion of Mrs. Paul's oldest daughter, who was confirmed in the Lutheran church at Glaize creek last Sunday". This was confusing as Anna died 1912 and this was 1911. As far as I know Anna and Paul only had 1 child, Howard. Perhaps this was Fred's parents?? Would appreciate any information on the family.
