Surnames I am researching in Jefferson County are NULL and STRUNK. My great-grandparents were Oliver Rudolph NULL (12 Sept 1871 - 13 Mar 1909) and Cora Ellen STRUNK (5 Sept 1872 - 6 Dec 1940). Oliver and Cora were married 29 Jan 1896, presumably in Jefferson County. Oliver was a school teacher for a few years until the family moved to St. Louis sometime before 1900. Other surnames I am researching include HAWK, WASHKEWITZ, SMETANA, ZIMMERMAN and DUNN. Gary Null Aurora, Colorado
Gary: I assume that you are aware that NULLs were among the earliest American settlers in Jefferson county and that they appear to have been in Monroe (then St. Clair) county, Illinois in years just before that.
