Carole Goggin and I have revisited STROUP FAMILY GRAVEYARD Please verify your family information as recordings listed on web sites listings from the 1980 had some incorrect dates. The below listing is correct and verified. The general condition is fair. It is in a wooded area. Many fieldstones, grave outlines, and the below monuments. Many of the monuments we had to probe for as they were buried and broken. One grave had been dug into. The graveyard is deeded as 1 acre. We could see 7 rows each with maybe 25+ graves, possibly more. This is a large family graveyard. BURGESS Eli, Died Jul 27 1854, Aged 22 yrs 4 mo 15 days., E. B. Dave: Can you tell me in what township this cemetery is located? I have a lost RICHARDSON and am always interested in the folks with that surname, but particularly in Meramec Twp. or Big River Twp.
