Everton Publishers books tell us that Missouri birth records did not start being recorded until 1910, altho' a few of them were recorded between 1883-1893. It became compulsive in 1910 for every state. You can still find ( in some of our courthouses) the birth and or death books of 1883-1893. The 1910 census records should tell you his age at that time in history, although this is considered a secondary source, it is sometimes all we have to depend upon, genealogy is sometimes a "hit or miss" situation. But so much fun and so many folks are totally emersed in "finding their roots" these days. I have done it for 34 years now, and have enjoyed it immensely. Have a good day. J.
