I read all the roll call emails.... I must admit, that when I see a "roll call" I sigh and say "oh, here we go!!" It does take up a bit of your time to do this BUT when you get a level deeper into your research you will want to know your neighbors!! What about the people that lived next door, the friends....I have actually found people that were distantly connected that ended up with photographs?? how does that happen?? sometimes friends hang on to things more than family and you never know what you will find. I also try to keep a mental list of names and when I find something I can pass it on, I may not remember who is researching the name but can throw it on the list and hopefully the right person will find it. Makes researching more fun, if I don't find something for myself, maybe I will find something for someone else. Remember our ancestors walked the same streets!! I am sure they would be happy if we were helping each other out! Roll on Roll callers!!! :o) Linda in MO (researching HERZOG, SCHWENK, ZEIGELMEYER, HAMPEL, KLODT in Jefferson County - keeping any eye on the BLANK connections too.)
