    2. Re: The family-owned hotel in Hillsboro, supposedly owned by the Clark family. To my knowledge, there is no hotel, family-owned or otherwise in Hillsboro today. In the 1800s, there were three, one of which was the Commercial Hotel, located across Main Street from the courthouse. My grandparents managed that hotel for a few years in the early 1900s.
