The Missouri State Archives has received a $300,000 grant to help preserve historic records. Secretary of State Rebecca Cook announced that Missouri was one of seven states to receive the grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission, the Associated Press reported today. Cook's office oversees the state archives. The grant provides money for regional training for record keepers, professional development, planning and consulting services and funding for preservation supplies and equipment.
