    1. [MOJEFFER] Hendrickson nomination
    2. Medlin
    3. Jefferson County Leader 13 July 1866 No 28 "Representative in the General Assembly ..... We therefore call general attention to the propriety of nominating Judge William Hendrickson as the Union candidate for Representative. reared in Jefferson county; maintaining through an active and useful life an unspotted personal character; known among the people as an upright Christian gentleman; a man not ashamed to work with head or hands; true to his country and the laws, - he is today our foremost man. In our acquaintance with Judge Hendrickson, we have been charmed by his courtesy, won by his truth, and led by his wisdom and moderation. On the question of internal improvement, Judge Hendrickson's record is clear. He has steadfastly favored the building of both railroads and improved highways in our county. Superior to local prejudice, he has sought, by a liberal public policy, to secure the equal improvement of all parts of the county. Foremost to welcome emigration, and in every enterprise for the public good, no man can bring accusation against him. Should Judge Hendrickson decide to become a candidate, after careful consideration, we trust it will be with the distinct determination to canvass the whole county, and meet the political gatherings. We wish him to impress his thoughtful and considerate vies upon the public. He will have nothing to be ashamed of or to conceal. Shall we have a response?"
