Heiligtag, 81, Imperial, died July 26 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1913, in Kimmswick, the son of Herman W. and Ida (Glass) Heiligtag. He is survived by one son, Donald Heiligtag; one daughter, Marjorie Smith; and four sisters, Leona Reissing, Vernita Reiner, Alvera Frey, and Velma Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Esther [Pogue] Heiligtag and two sons Elmer and Robert Heiligtag. Funeral was July 29 at Heiligtag Funeral Home, Arnold, with the Rev. Bob Hicks officiating. Interment was in Burgess Cemetery, Imperial. Memorials are preferred to St. Luke's United Church of Christ or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
