I would like to know if anyone on the list has access to Jefferson County Census records prior to 1850? My ggfather ELIAS DOBSON is listed in the 1850 and 1860 census for Jefferson county. I have been looking for him and his family all over MO for over a year without success. Thank you in advance for your kind support. Joseph Dopson josephd96@aol.com
There are no Dobson, Dodson, etc, in either 1830 or 1840 printed censuses. There is a Thomas Hopson in 1830 and a Willis Hopson in 1840.
